Hit the Ground Running with the POC Programme

The Proof of Concept Programme by Ivy IS allows you to get up and running quickly with a copy of the Pentaho Business Intelligence Suite based on your own data. All we need from you is a simple flat CSV or XLS file and we can do the rest. When we are finished you will have access to a fully configured Business Intelligence Server and sample reports, dashboards and analysis. We create it all for you! Not enough? No problems. We also install the Pentaho Community and Enterprise tools that you can use to create your own content on the server. Your data and your solutions!

How Does it Work?

The first step is easy. Simply drop us an email and we’ll send you an NDA. Once signed we can get started and will request a data export of your choice. After we have taken a quick look at the data we will get back in contact with you to discuss any issues that might exist. If we are all good on the issue front we will then talk to you about the sort of metrics we can get from your data file. With all that chatting done and a simple plan, we can get to working loading that data!
Now we have your data and design specifications , it’s our turn to do some serious work. We will develop an ETL solution based around your dataand load the results into a simple yet powerful Data Warehouse schema. This solution will utilise the Ivy ETL Framework that will allow further development on the solution if required at a later date.

The finished product will contain some simple logging and reporting to allow us to measure how well the data was loaded into the data warehouse.

So we have your data all loaded nicely into the Data Warehouse. The next step is to develop an OLAP Schema (you can call in an analysis cube though) that will give you instant access to your data via the Saiku community tool that comes with the Pentaho Business Analytics server.
Next up is the dashboard and reports. Based on our initial discussions, we set to work creating a bespoke dashboard based on your data. This dashboard should show off some of the Community Dashboard Editor functionality like drill downs, dynamic queries and so on. You will also have access to the Ivy Dashboard Creator! The reports will also be developed in this stage and based on the designs that were outlined in the first stage.
Now that everything has been developed its time to upload the proof of concept to your online Pentaho Business Analytics server that you will have access to for 30 days. During this time you can explore the solution as well as develop your own reports, dashboards and analysis solutions using the community tools provided by Ivy Information Systems.

If at any point you get lost then we are here to help! Just drop us a note and we will get back to you asap. After the 30 days is up we will get back in touch to see how you got on!
